In the year 2215, Earth underwent a global catastrophic event. Much of the Human population was wiped out, and the survivors were forced to go into hiding, underground. However... That was not the beginning.
It all started ten years ago, in Tokyo, Japan.
The animals were the first to be affected. There was no discrimination between domestic pets, zoo animals, and the local wildlife: the number of fatal attacks rose 120% within the first year. No one was safe from these unprovoked attacks, and it did not take long for vicious packs to take over the streets.
Some months later, the disappearances began. Trees, park benches, vehicles... Then came the reports of people vanishing in plain sight.
The cause of this crisis was discovered, but it and the rescue project came too late.
With roughly 10, 000 Humans left in the world now, it is only a matter of time before the Human race becomes extinct. Once-pampered pets have no choice but to adapt to this new world, amongst the wilder forces of nature.
