THE FIGHT-FUCK DICHOTOMY | [attr="class","selenag"]
ABOUT. the bull is right where he left off in canon thirteen years ago, still taking merc jobs with his boys all across orlais and ferelden. despite reaping all the benefits of having been presented to the orlesian court (thanks, inquisition!), he keeps a relatively low profile, but he doesn't exactly make himself scarce, so he'll be around where he's needed.
FRIENDS. bull is old and getting fat and all he wants to do is drink and be friends with people, so if you come at him with Negative Feelings™ he'll probably challenge you to an arm wrestling contest that you likely have no real chance of winning and then buy you a drink. be his friend. you know you want to.
FOES. it's really not overstating it to say that bull is willing to give just about anyone a chance—he prefers to take people as he finds them, irrespective of their backgrounds. he's still kind of twitchy around mages, but he has several in his company and likes them as well as anyone else, so magic isn't a deal-breaker, unless you're, say, a 'vint magister barking at slaves. he's also not a fan of authority figures who abuse their power and rule by fiat, so if you're one of those, there's a good chance he'll laugh at your jokes and be perfectly cordial in conversation before he lets skinner quietly slit your throat.
STUFF TO DO. bull ranges all across ferelden and orlais, so don't be afraid to throw anyone you have into his path. i'm also always here for past threads, especially for ben-hassrath buddies/contacts, members of his chargers, and fellow inquisition squaddies.

Bull and Hawke!
Let's be honest, Hawke has no intention of stabbing every qunari she meets, despite her first interactions with them. Her perception of them is extremely clouded, however, and it's likely that if Bull and Hawke meet, her first reaction will be to make a face that looks like e_e and see how long it took him to register that she was the same Champion of Kirkwall that helped the Inqusition (and killed the Arishok but let's not get into semantics here).
Depending on how much time Hawke spent in Skyhold, and what your stand on Bull's canon is, they may already know each other enough anywho. He'll probably get a 'Hawke Gold Star' because he's in the Inquisition and Varric probably thought he was a great guy, so he can't be 'all that bad.'
And he fights dragons, that's a bonus!
As an aside, Hawke is a dark-red head in my head. If that means anything.

Jaiden Hawkei don't think bull would necessarily care that she killed the arishok, given that the salasari basically disowned him and disavowed the siege like probably even before his body was cold, but he'd definitely be kind of twitchy about her just on principle - also it probably doesn't help that he was never sure how he felt about varric (and vice-versa) either, haha. if she got dragged out on inquisition business while staying in skyhold though i'm sure they'd have had time enough to at least... get kind of comfortable? even if he didn't have time to necessarily get past the initial weirdness before she left, he can appreciate someone who likes a good dragon hunt. beyond that though it'd probably be a super bumpy road :x he wouldn't cross the street to avoid saying hi to her now, 13 years later, but i don't think he'd ever quite get over her reputation as champion.

Aatami is a grumpy elf who needs frainds. He brings plenty of negative feelings around because he is a grumpy butt who doesn't like anyone. That said, spend enough time around him and he'll put up with you. Aatami was in the Inquisition as a messenger boy when he was 14 or so, and he'd have met the Bull once or twice (up to you how much) or just noticed him in camp (lot of Bull to notice). They could have also met up when Aatami joined the Lucky Blighters a few years back. I bet mercenary groups know of each other, at least to get to know the competition.
I'm up for all sorts of threads (past as well) and am planning to throw Aatami into the Summerday Ball. Got any preferences?
Hi I love the Bull

Aatami Tarathiel depending on whether aatami worked primarily in skyhold or was out in the field while he worked as a runner for the inquisition, bull might... at least know him on sight? i don't imagine there are a ton of red-haired ex-dalish necromancer apostates running around, ahaha. bull probably doesn't socialize with other mercs while out on charger business much, but if they did happen to run into the blighters in a tavern or inn en route to a job in orlais/ferelden or whatever he'd be friendly, maybe try to talk shop over their time with the inquisition. they're both pretty distinctive so i can't see either of them having a problem remembering each other, even years later. 80% of his boys are grumpybutts so he's not bothered at all haha ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ aatami just has to worry about bull maybe low-key trying to snipe him for the chargersi'm fine with anything you have muse for! i also don't mind starting a thread if you'd prefer that. i know you said in aatami's app that he briefly went off to go join solas so my main concern is not conflicting with his timeline.

The Iron Bull & HawkeI don't think Hawke would get over her own status either. I can't imagine she'd be low-key about her awkwardness either. Regardless of the big bits and pieces, I believe they would end up with an awkward 'reunion,' whether that be in Skyhold for the Summerday event, or even out while the Chargers are on a mission and Hawke randomly ends up in the battle with them (not against them... though that'd be super awkward too!) ... So what do you think? I'm more than happy to start the post, it just may take me... a few years days.

Well, Aatami fit in wherever he could, but probably more so in camp because he was kind of young (14-15 range). Aatami's also changed a lot since Skyhold, got taller, got tattooed, learned a lot more magic. If he ran into Bull more than just once over the last thirteen years it's more likely he'd be recognized. Running into the Chargers (and maybe a few unsubtle recruitment nudges) sounds like something Aatami would actually enjoy (group of grumpies yes). Just a note, it was Aatami's mentor who went off to join Solas and left Aatami behind, so timeline is no issue. Aatami has been with the Blighters for about three years now, before that he was in Nevarra for a while, but right after the Inquisition, Aatami wandered around for a few years to random places doing odd jobs. So either right after the Inquisition or with Blighters are the probable times they could have interacted in the past.
I have two opens, one in Val Royeaux and one at the Skyhold festival. I also have another post I'm half saving that's placed in the wilderness somewhere if you'd rather be outside a city. Or we can talk about something more plotted out or planned.
